Yes it is. You can mount any gear hub that measures 120mm wide, like an internal gear or pedal assist hub.

Yes and no, if the bike is locked to a structure, it is not possible to disassemble the system. However when the system is unlocked you can disarm it to replace or perform maintenances.

By using the frame as the lock, breaking the lock implies breaking the structure of the bike. Even a dumb thief can reckon that it is not a good idea. By breaking the lock you break the bike, making it no longer a bicycle. If by any chance the thief breaks the pole, fence, or bike rack your Yerka was secured to, he won’t be able to ride it. That’s why the press call it ‘unstealable’.

The Yerka (Single Speed) weights 12 kilos aprox (26 pounds), making it lighter than a traditional fixie bike plus a strong lock. The whole frame of the Yerka is made out of hardened steel, and the whole system is made of the best quality aluminium and chromoly.

You can secure it to any kind of poles, fences, traditional or inverted U bike racks, trees, etc up to 17cm (7 inches). This are only suggestions, the limit is your creativity!

Our mechanism works in such way that if someone were to cut the tube, the whole bicycle wouldn’t close to it’s original shape. Doing this renders the bike useless, so replacing the broken seat tube for another wouldn’t solve anything.

Easy, it’s just like any other bike. If you want to replace any component of your Yerka, like wheels, brakes, pedals, etc… feel free to do it. You can buy any aftermarket products to easily modify it for best suiting you.

At the moment the only way to lock it is with a key (includes 2 sets of keys). Every set comes with a unique code to create more copies of the key.
